Personal Background: I am a graduated machine engineer for automatic control. I have been working as a system engineer for 10 years already. My firm AS Computer Software was founded in 1994. I have many applications for DOS and Windows OS from simple accounting to programmers tools. I know many programming languages like Assembler, Clipper, C/C++, Delphi, VB, Alaska XBase++ etc. I like people, rock music, films, art, nature, many other nice things and computers.
I wrote one EBOOK for programmers on how to test applications that must support fiscal printers in my area, how to make software fiscal printer emulators and how to use your VSPD. I put translated users guide for your product on my site and more then 500 people have downloaded it. I beleive that they downloaded your software for testing too. Victoria Veligodsky: Why did you start looking for this kind of software? What were the reasons? Aleksandar Stefanovic: Two years ago fiscal devices became "must have" for all trading companies. Many programmers, including me, started to write software to support them. We all have to test our software again and again to make sure it works properly with fiscal devices. And the best solutions for such tests are software emulators of these devices. How do we make the connection between software and emulator? The answer: with the software like VSPD XP Lite [Virtual Serial Ports Driver XP Lite]. I must say that this product is not the only one on the market, but from my point of view it is the best. [Victoria: Besides, Aleksandar created a communication library and the users guide for fiscal printers emulation, translated help files of VSPD XP Lite into Serbian and wrote demo for fiscal printer emulation] Victoria Veligodsky: How did you come to know about Virtual Serial Ports Driver by Eltima Software? Aleksandar Stefanovic: Simple, I found it on the web. I wrote some other programming tools and I used shareware download sites for my software to look what other people are doing. Most of them listed your products. I think that you have done a great job developing such solution! Victoria Veligodsky: Thank you Aleksandar! And did you try using other products for this kind of task before choosing Eltima solution? Why did you prefer exactly VSPD XP Lite? Aleksandar Stefanovic: Yes, but in other products I found limitations in trial period that I don't like (time limits, speed limits, transfer limits) and I chose your software because I can really try it. It was the best solution for my own project. The trial period is long - 2 weeks and it works like the full version without any limitations. And documentation files were easy to understand. Victoria Veligodsky: How exactly are you using our product now? What are you using it for? Please, provide more details. Aleksandar Stefanovic: I designed small communication library and software emulator for some fiscal printer devices. Programmers sometimes really need them to test applications. Your software was ideal solution to connect applications to software emulator of a physical (real) fiscal printer device. Victoria Veligodsky: What advantages do you get from using Eltima software? Aleksandar Stefanovic: My project was the software emulator of a fiscal printer device. But I put source code in e-book so if some other programmers need it, they can use it but they have to compile an executable library. In this book I describe how they can use your software to make connections between POS application and software emulator. That's it. So I use your software for testing my project, and I must say that it works and fits my goal great. I must say to you that using your software to connect some applications with software emulators is really easy.
