Flash'In'App is FREE for non-commercial use.
Yes, it's free, you can use it without paying anything to Eltima, but in
non-commercial projects only. By non-commercial we mean educational or student
projects, personal applications, non-profit/freeware programs, and probably
something else. If you doubt whether your application is non-commercial according
to our license, shoot us a question,
we usually reply within 1 business day. The only mandatory requirement we ask
you about when implementing Flash'In'App in your free application is placing a
link back to us, which clearly denotes that your software is powered by our
technology. A link should lead to http://mac.eltima.com
with the text like "Powered by Flash'In'App" or "This software uses Eltima
Flash'In'App technology". You can include such a copyright notice in Credits.rtf
which is displayed in your About box, for example. If for some reason you cannot
place such a link or button, or banner, or whatever in your application,
let's discuss this, we are open to any offers.
Please, understand
that we won't be able to offer any dedicated technical support or guaranteed
bug fixes if you are on a free license.
If you plan or already use
Flash'In'App in a serious business/commercial application, shareware, or pure
commercial software product, we will kindly ask you to
obtain the Commercial License, it is not
that expensive. It costs USD 399.00 per developer and
is available online at our store any time,
volume discounts also apply automatically.
Commercial License of Flash'In'App includes:
- Extended User Guide with samples and additional details on framework implementation and usage;
- full commercial non-exclusive rights to develop and sell anything* you can develop with Flash'In'App;
- premium technical support for 1 year (including callbacks);
- priority notifications and pre-access to beta versions.
With the Commercial License you don't have to mention that your software uses Flash'In'App technology at all.
*And one more requirement and limitation: whichever license you choose, Eltima Software, as a copyright holder, does
not allow developing any applications competing with our SWF & FLV Player. By this we mean that you cannot develop
and sell or distribute free of charge any universal (which can open any SWF/FLV file) advanced Flash player, developed
with the similar tasks as ours: provide better control and management of Flash and FLV files, download online Flash
movies, etc.
