Automate Folx Work

For your convenience, Folx proposes several features which permit to automate download process. Thus, you can reduce your direct participation and save your time. Just do whatever you want while Folx is performing its tasks. 
 

1. Auto-start downloading active tasks on Folx startup If enabled (Preferences –> General), this option permits to start downloads automatically as soon as Folx is launched. It may be useful if you quitted Folx with unfinished tasks left.
2. After downloading all This option (Main menu –> Folx) permits to choose whether to shut down, switch to sleeping mode or quit the program once all downloads are completed. “After downloading all” is reset to default each time at Folx launch (that is, neither of the three options is chosen).
3. Use Folx to catch download links in browsers If enabled (Preferences –> General), this option permits links to be automatically caught by Folx. It will help to save time adding new download tasks.

If you want downloads to be automatically caught by Folx, tick “Use Folx to catch download links in browsers” checkbox. It can be found in Folx Preferences, “Types” tab. Refer here for details.

4. Schedule downloads This option (Preferences –> Scheduler) permits to set the time to start and finish your downloads. Moreover, choose whether to shut down, switch to sleeping mode or quit the program once downloads are completed.Here you can enable “Auto run Folx on scheduled time” option, which permits to start Folx automatically according to the time you’ve set in Scheduler.
5. Adjust speed automatically Smart speed adjustment” option permits to lower Folx download/upload speed if there is Internet traffic from browser or another application. 
6. Transfer downloaded videos/music to iTunes playlists  To do it, enable iTunes integration (since Folx 2.0).

7. Automatically assign tags to tasks

Since Folx 2.0, you can enable automatic assignment of the particular tag to download tasks. Refer to this section for details.
