Virtual ports (created by applications with Virtual Serial Port AX embedded) are not displayed in Devices and Printers by default.
To make virtual ports visible in Devices and Printers, do the following:
1. Launch the Registry Editor: Start –> type “regedit” in “Run” window.
2. Locate the following key in the registry
3. Create DWORD variable with “Removable” name and set its value:
0 = virtual ports will not be displayed in Devices and Printers
1 = virtual ports will be displayed in Devices and Printer
