Today we will take a look at case study of D. Roosch, math teacher from Netherlands, who describes how he benefits from using Flash Decompiler Trillix by Eltima Software.

Personal use experience.

D. Roosch is a math/physics teacher. He says it’s a great job to get adolescents to understand math and physics, which most of them find very challenging. Through personal attention, discipline and varying assignments he tries to make them think about the world around them and how we use science to predict how things happen.
Aside from teaching, D. Roosch is a family man and has 2 sons.
When the work is done and the kids are asleep he dives into the games by Games Workshop like Warhammer 40k or Warhammer Fantasy Role-play, watch movies or play computer games. Currently World of Tanks is the main attraction.

Alex Taylor: What challenges made you search for this kind of software?

D. Roosch: In World of Tanks (WoT) plugins may be installed. I was using a specific plugin which gave you a lightblue visor with a lot of light blue information. All other visors and the game WoT itself give you a light green visor. This light green is preferable, but the shape and information of my plugin is the best. So I started looking how to edit these plugins. They are written in swf files and I needed an editor, preferably WYSIWYG and easy to use.

Alex Taylor: How did get to know about Flash Decompiler Trillix by Eltima Software?

D. Roosch: I saw an instruction movie by “dinik” on YouTube and he uses the Trillix Flash Decompiler. He made it look very easy to use and very powerful. I did look around, but there is no other program really to compare it with.

Alex Taylor: Did you try other products for the same task before choosing Eltima solution? Why did you prefer our product?

D. Roosch: I did try to find an open source, or freeware alternative. In this day and age, almost every commercial application has a free counterpart on the internet. And there where extensive editors and decompilers, but they did not have the wonderful point and click interface of Trillix.

Alex Taylor: Please, describe how you are using our product now.

D. Roosch: I was only planning on edition the 10 or so .swf files for the WoT plugin, so the light blue visor and information becomes light green. If it works I will put it online, for the community. It’s really cool if other people use my work.

Alex Taylor: How did you benefit from using Flash Decompiler Trillix?

D. Roosch: It was nice to do something in return for the community and the light green visor really kicks tank rear! The blue visor had a tendency to blur with blue and grey scenery like the sky, water and buildings. The green visor has more and pleasant contrast with the rest of the gameworld, which makes it better to play the game.
Also, the gaming community has been asking for a green version of the visor for a while now and the original writer hasn’t provided it yet. I have not had any concrete feedback as of yet, but it seems a lot of people are waiting to use this.
If I ever have the time and inspiration, maybe I will try some more flash programming.
