    quick question: when you’re connecting to a cellphone at a remote location, how does network gate get across the remote person’s router? does your customer have to manually install network gate on his pc and set up port forwarding on his router?
    thanx, francis

  • Hi Francis!

    You should know the server’s public IP address, by which you should be able to ping it from the client and which you should input when searching for shared devices.
    You may also need to adjust the firewall settings as well configure ports forwarding on the server so that it is able to accept connections from the outside.
    USB Network Gate requires the following ports to be open:
    – TCP 5473;
    – the TCP port selected in the sharing options on the server.
