Electronic Team, Inc. has just rolled out a brand new update for USB Network Gate – a convenient software tool for USB device sharing. Version 9.0 brings various bug fixes and improvements alongside a completely reworked and improved feature – USB device isolation.
USB device isolation allows connecting a particular USB device to a specific user account or session. This feature will especially be helpful for those sharing the same Windows PC or working on the remote desktop server that hosts numerous sessions, making connected USB devices invisible to others.
Here is a brief description of the USB device isolation modes:
- Session-specified isolation allows you to assign a USB device to a specified session, e.g. a remote desktop session.
- User-specified isolation allows you to isolate a connected USB device to a specific Windows user account.
You can view full changelog here.
USB device isolation was tested with cameras, printers, scanners, hard drives, 3D mouses, sound cards, and a plethora of other USB devices.
The USB device isolation is supported by Windows 8 and newer.
Please, do not hesitate to contact Electronic Team, Inc. if you have any questions. Owners of the Lifetime Upgrades Guarantee can use the new features right away.
