Title: SyncMate won't sync

Using OS X Mavericks and Syncing with Nokia 515.

Succesfully connected via bluetooth. When I click sync, both Contacts and iCal fail.

Here's my log:

Hello,

We are sorry for possible misunderstanding, but Mac OS 10.9 Mavericks is not supported by the topical version of SyncMate yet. Current SyncMate is compatible only with Mac OS 10.6.6-10.8.x.

We are working on SyncMate optimization in this question, and planning to include Mac OS 10.9 support in the next major upgrade of the software - SyncMate 5. But, I regret to inform you that we have no details on the new version release yet.

Thanks for your reply Alex. As you know, Mavericks has now been released - so it is the latest version of OS X. Within the first 24 hours of its release, 5.5% of users upgraded, which is an extremely aggressive adoption rate. Who knows how many users are on Mavericks by now? My guess is somewhere around 30 - 50%.

My advice would be to stop selling SyncMate until it works with the latest version - or at least put a great big notice to warn people that it's not compatible with Mavericks before purchase.

I hope releasing a fix for this is a priority for you.

So its now been over a month and no updates or progress on a fix for SyncMate (expert). Please provide an accurate explanation on the time line, progress, beta program proposed for users who have purchased Eltima software.  And please don't apologize or give the standard answer that we have all heard.
1. We all know its not a misunderstanding, we all know it not compatible, we all know the beta version was promised, we all know Apple released an wonderful new version of their OS and we all know we paid for software package that worked with the prior version of the Mac OS. We all know it was reported to Eltima that there current version was not compatible with Mavericks since its on your Facebook site it was posted over a month prior to the release of OSX 10.9 that SyncMate did not function, we all know that Eltima did not post a warning or a disclaimer  on any of there sites that an upgrade to OSX 10.9 would cause syncmate to enter a non functional state. What we don't know is when Eltima will follow up on their software with a new compatible version
2. A responsible software provider does not leave their customers hanging when a known update was going to be released for Mac.
3. I have a license for sync mate expert with a lifetime upgrade guarantee and a family pack license.  As a paid owner of said license I am asking for a detailed report on when I may receive an upgrade to a version that is computable with the current Apple Mac software version OSX 10.9.
4. Most of your user base is moving to Google and using the sync capabilities provided free of charge, I'm sure your aware of this and would have hoped since 30 days have now passed a fix or update would have been provided or at the very least a time line for a software fix, however all we have been provided is a Winter time frame.

Thank you for your time and understanding from a very unhappy customer.

I wanted to write a note of thanks.  Syncmate has been a critical component of my software suite for over three years.  It has allowed me to operate a multi-vendor configuration (Windows Desktop, MAC Laptop, Android Phone).  Syncmate hasn't always been flawless, but it has been functional and for that I'm grateful.

The Mavericks incompatibility became a major stumbling block for me.  I've adapted by moving to an iCloud based synchronization capability, and having made the move, I've deleted Syncmate from all of my platforms.

I was reluctant to move to a cloud-based solution for synchronization of my contact and calendar data, but thanks to the Mavericks/Syncmate incompatibility (and the lack of timely response from Eltima), I was forced to make the transition.  I'm happy to report that the iCloud solution is "outstanding".  It works well, provides for real-time synchronization, and is transparent to me (as the user).

Thanks Eltima, I appreciate all that you did for me.

As you might know, Apple has excluded the Sync Service driver, which SyncMate uses for synchronization process, from the latest version of Mac OS X. That is why the current version of SyncMate is not compatible with Mac OS 10.9.

However, I would like to let you know that we are at the middle of the developing process of our own synchronization driver, which will be included in the next major upgrade. It will make SyncMate completely independent from all future Mac OS modifications. As you may understand, the developers of the native Mac OS Sync Service, had all the needful operating system specifications, the access to applications' API's and core system components. And we are creating the driver completely from scratch, so the developing process is rather consuming and requires huge amount of resources and time.

We are planning to release SyncMate 5 this winter. And, most probably, the Beta version will be available for testing within next two months. You can subscribe to SyncMate 5 newsletter here:

Sync mate shall help to bring an icloud calendar onto a windows mobile 6.1 phone. Currently it can connect to the icloud and sync ical, which isn't much needed,as ical can show stuff of the icloud.

But what I really love to do is to have the icloud calender being transfered onto my wm6.1 phone which syncmate should be able to do.

This is one of my high hopes for syncmate 5.

Hello,

We are sorry for possible misunderstanding, but you can already sync iCloud account with Windows Mobile platform, using SyncMate, without a problem. SyncMate does not support direct synchronization of added connection among themselves, but you can easily achieve your aim using local Mac account as a link between them. Please, follow the below steps:

1. Disable iCloud support for calendars in your Mac System Preferences.

2. Set up synchronization with iCloud calendar, using "Cloud calendar" connection in SyncMate:

3. Proceed a sync to copy online calendar to your local Mac account in iCal.

4. Establish a connection with your Windows Mobile device, in SyncMate connection wizard:

5. Configure "iCal" plugin for connection with your device and proceed a sync.

This way you will receive similar calendars on all three synchronization ends: online iCloud account, local iCal on your Mac, and calendars on your Windows Mobile device.

I have been waiting patiently for SyncMate 5 so I can sync my Nokia with my Mac running Mavericks.

I received access to the beta version today (thank you!). Unfortunately, it seems that Nokia support has been stripped out of SyncMate 5.

Is this planned for a future beta version? Or are you simply planning on ending Nokia sync altogether?

I regret to inform you, but, due to incompatibility issues, SyncMate 5 will not support Windows Mobile, Blackberry, Nokia S40, Sony PSP and Windows PC sync, comparing to SyncMate 4.

We are searching for possible methods to include some of these platforms in future upgrades, but we have no details in this question yet.

Hello Alex,

I'm looking for a solution for the missing local sync between OS X 10.9 Mavericks and iPhone iOS V.6.1.3 (not iOS 7, since I really don't like it). Is SyncMate 5 supporting as well iOS 6?

Moreover I'ld like to know, if you can you give us an idea, when the beta version of SyncMate 5 will change into a final release version? - I mean not a binding date, but maybe a raw direction?

hazwobe, yes, SyncMate 5 Beta is compatible with both, OS X Mavericks and iOS 6, and you can use it to synchronize your personal information without a problem.

As for your second question, we hope to release the final version of SyncMate 5 within a month or two. There are lots of minor bugs yet to be fixed and many clients' requests to be implemented and optimized. As soon as we are sure that the software is stable and complete, we will release it right away.

I have started to use the SyncMate Beta 5 version today (I have Mavericks & iOS7 on my iPad Mini Retina).  After opening initially using the activation code, I can no longer access the app.  Every time I open it I have to re-enter the activation code.  As soon as I do that, the app closes down.  I have tried uninstalling SyncMate Beta 5 TWICE and re-installing TWICE but the error just keeps repeating.  Please help!  For the few moments that I had it open initially, it looked very exciting.  SO MUCH hoping for a solution to syncing Calendar between my MacBook Pro and my iPad Mini WITHOUT using iCloud!!! :-[
