Commander One - Specify S3 path(Read 1227 times)
Commander One - Specify S3 path on: May 06, 2019, 03:51:11 PM
Hi all,

I am having trouble configuring an S3 account in Commander One: the credentials provided for me only have access to a specific path inside a bucket. Commander One does not seem to accept path filters like other S3 clients, so when I try to access to that bucket I get a "access not permitted" exception.

Do you know how to do it?

Thanks.

I would like to inform you the option to add the "Server Endpoint" in Amazon S3 will be added in the next update of Commander One app.

Hi Karina,
I have upgraded to the latest version of Commander One (2.2) and now I can see the new field "Server endpoint", but I haven't managed to connect.

My S3 bucket&path is (anonymized): aaaaaa-u1-offloads.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/bbbbbbb

How do I have to configure it?

Thanks.

Hi,

Please try the following settings:

Server Endpoint:

https://aaaaaa-u1-offloads.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com

Bucket:
/bbbbbbb

Once done, let us know if it works for you.

Hi Karina,

Now I am getting the following error:

"The authorization header is malformed; the region 'us-east-1' is wrong; expecting 'eu-west-1' "

Thanks.
