itunes sync error. What does this mean? on: January 16, 2010, 02:40:19 AM
here is the debug log from last attempt to sync itunes between two macs.

Build 2.5.0.921
BackService version: 0.4.4b35
USB driver version: 0.2.4b14
MAC server version: 1.0.0.69


BEGIN SYNCING...

Check connections.


Start sync service session.

Push Prepare.

Starting pull phase.

Sync with sync service OK!

From the information which you've provided it looks like iTunes can't find some library.

I would advise you to reinstall iTunes.

you might think that, but itunes works perfectly. Only within the context of syncmate does it appear to not find some file. And which file are we talking about anyway? debug log is very scimpy on info.

I am not able to give you an explanation without further details. Please provide the following information, so that we may take a closer look at the current issue:

1. What are the versions of Mac OS installed on your two computers?

2. What are the versions of iTunes installed on your two Macs?

3. Which iTunes playlists are you trying to sync?

4. What tracks do these playlists contain? Are there tracks purchased in iTunes Store? Are there tracks from Shared Libraries?

5. What is the total number of tracks you're trying to sync?

6. Explanation/Steps (anything that will help reproduce the error).
