Connect to USB Devices Remotely on Linux with FlexiHub

To connect to a remote USB device, find it in the list of available devices (i.e. devices on your remote FlexiHub nodes that are not locked), and click Connect:


If required, right-click the device to change the default USB traffic compression level:


This option helps speed up interaction with certain types of USB devices and reduce Internet traffic. You may find it useful for devices that transfer data in an uncompressed format (for instance, scanners).

It is not recommended to use this option for devices that transfer incompressible types of data (webcams, sound cards, etc.). For most webcams, for example, video compression is enabled by default, and attempting to compress it further will only waste system resources without leading to any actual reduction in Internet traffic.

To disconnect from a USB device, click Disconnect :
