Looking for a way to reliably share RS232 ports among several distant machines? With Serial over IP Connector, you will be able to complete this task with ease and convenience. Our software allows any remote PC can connect to the serial device on the other side of the connection and control it as if the appliance was plugged right into it, regardless the distance between the computers.

Share RS232 over IP
To make a serial device accessible for other computers in the network you will need to download and install Serial to Ethernet Connector on the server (host) and client (remote) machines and create a corresponding type of connection in the app. After that, all data will be sent over the TCP/IP network. -
Automatic reconfiguration
You do not have to bother yourself with the regular reconfiguration of the app’s settings, all thanks to the fact that the software operates as a Windows OS service, meaning that all established connection are restored automatically on the system boot (even before logging into the user account). What is more, you do not have to keep the interface of Serial to IP Connector constantly opened. Once all the necessary parameters are established, the application can be closed while keeping all created connection running in the background. -
Using UDP to access RS232 over IP
An ability to redirect data via User Datagram Protocol is another useful feature offered by COM to IP Connector. The biggest advantage of this setting is that it is not obligatory to install the software on the remote machine when UDP is used. UDP will be perfect for data redirection in the local area network. -
Serial to IP Connector is now on Linux OS
Go cross-platform with a new version of COM to IP Connector for Linux. Share serial over IP with any Windows PC and vice versa. However, please note that right now only the command-line version of the application is available.
