Serial to Ethernet Connector
Access distant Serial over network

Serial over Network technology will become an irreplaceable tool if you need to access a distant serial device from anywhere on the globe, making it available on the distant machine as if it was locally plugged into it. Conveniently exchange any amount of data over the network with up to five hundred RS232 port appliances at the same time.

Share RS232 over network

What makes COM over Network Connector from Electronic Team a unique piece of software is that any serial device is recognized by the remote PC as an actually connected one, so you can control it in your application.

  • Make available serial over network for inbound connections (Server mode)

Install Serial to Ethernet Connector on your PC and create a Server type of connection to make any COM port, either real or virtual, available for the external connection. Multiple client PCs will be able to access the shared COM port at the same time transferring I/O data packets
    over the network.
  • Reconnect automatically

COM to Network Connector runs as a Windows service. What it means is that all connections are automatically reconfigured on the system start, even before logging into your user account. Moreover, it also implies that it is not necessary to keep the GUI permanently opened: once you have all the parameters configured, you can close the app, keeping all your connections running in the background thanks to the functional peculiarity the service.
  • RS232 over network using UDP

If you would like to broadcast serial data through LAN, then RS232 to Network Connector with a support of User Datagram Protocol will become an ideal solution. The main con of UDP usage is that it does not necessarily require the presence of our software on the distant PC.

Besides, RAW data transfer algorithm or Telnet (RFC 2217) protocol can be applied
    to the connection.
  • Serial to Ethernet Connector for Linux is available

From now on the easiest way of sharing any serial device is available for Linux OS. Choose whether Linux or Windows OS will serve as a client or server. Note, this is a command-line based version of the app without the GUI.
